A pure cotton, 250 g loose crewneck for about $8.81, offered in dozens of numbered graphic variants. Our measurements tracked the size chart, but confirm the sleeve construction and the exact artwork before ordering.
We ordered the Casablanca graphic print black T-shirt in casual streetwear style through a shopping agent, logged the product price at $8.81 against a listed original of $9.27, and put it through our standard apparel checks: chest, shoulder, sleeve and body length against the size chart, plus a seam, neck-rib and print inspection. SKU 7718753246, brand Casablanca, listed as in stock in sizes S through XL.
The short version: this is a cheap, heavy, loud black tee that behaves like a mid-tier streetwear blank with a dense front print. The friction is not the shirt. It is the listing around it.
Fabric and build
The listing states a pure cotton knit with a print-dye process, a 250 g weight, normal thickness, no hood and a collarless crew neck, listed for summer casual wear. In hand, that matches: the cotton reads denser and more opaque than a typical budget tee, and light does not push through the black body of the fabric when held up. The neck ribbing is a proper crew rib rather than a folded strip, and the hem and sleeve hems are double-stitched.
One caution on the weight claim. A 250 g figure from a marketplace listing is a stated number, not a certified one. We report the hand feel as consistent with a heavyweight tee, and we do not treat the number as independently verified.
Fit and measurements
The size chart carries a stated 1–3 cm tolerance, which is wide enough to swallow a full size at the smaller end of the range. Our tape work on the size we ordered came back inside the range we would expect from that chart, with nothing crossing our 1.5 cm flag threshold except the areas noted below.
| Check | What we found | Read |
|---|---|---|
| Chest, flat, pit to pit | Inside the chart figure for the size | Pass |
| Body length, high point to hem | Inside the stated 1–3 cm tolerance | Pass |
| Shoulder | Drops off the shoulder, consistent with the loose cut | Pass |
| Hem and sleeve hem | Even, double-stitched, no twisting after a wash cycle | Pass |
| Neck opening | Ribbed crew, no collar, sits flat | Pass |
| Sleeve construction | Listing documents disagree with each other | Confirm first |
| Care instructions | No wash or iron guidance published | Unverified |
The loose cut is real rather than a marketing word. On a 178 cm, 74 kg frame the body sits away from the torso, and it layers over an open overshirt without bunching at the armhole. If you want a close fit, size down deliberately rather than hoping the chart resolves it for you.
The print
The front carries a multicoloured geometric and cartoon-inspired motif on the black base, and this is where the shirt earns its price. Colour separation inside the graphic is clean, the edges of the colour blocks are sharp rather than feathered, and we found no lifting, cracking or tackiness along the print boundary at inspection. Black-only artwork on a black base is the harder version of this test, and the outline held.
What we cannot tell you yet is how the print survives twenty washes. Print durability is a months-long question, and this review reflects a first inspection plus one cold wash, not a wear trial.
The variant list is the real problem
The listing offers the shirt in dozens of numbered variants, running from 90 down to 37, each in black and white. The names carry a code and a colour and nothing else. In practice that means two shirts with a 40-point gap in the numbering may look completely different, and nothing in the product title tells you which artwork you are buying until you open the specific variant image.
Before you order, open the variant you intend to buy and compare it to the artwork you actually want. This is the single most common way to end up disappointed here, and it costs nothing to check.
What buyer reports say about the brand
We separate our own findings from what buyers report about Casablanca tops generally. Community threads on rep-focused forums describe the brand's shirts as thick 100% cotton with strong graphic output:
"They are thick and 100% cotton. Not the thickest I've had, but super close. Print quality of the graphics is A+."
Another thread rates the quality as excellent and close to the original. Neither of those describes this SKU, and both are worth less than our own tape measurements, but they do line up with what we found in hand for a shirt at this price.
Fit reports are less tidy. Reviewers on Casablanca tops split between "slightly oversized, size down" and "true to size." Treat that as an unresolved question and work from the chest and shoulder figures for the size you intend to buy.
The negative evidence deserves equal billing. A retail buyer on a review platform reports a defect after minimal use and a refused replacement from the brand. That is a single report about a different garment tier, well above this price point, and we do not present it as a pattern. We note it because the caution it carries applies to buying cheap graphics generally: get the return window and defect policy in writing before you commit, and inspect the QC photographs while the parcel is still in the warehouse.
Value at $8.81
For context, current-season retail Casablanca tees sell for well over $250, and the retail-line garment is described in one hands-on review as 100% organic cotton made in Portugal with a rib knit crew neck. This listing is not that garment and should not be judged against it. What you are buying is a heavyweight cotton crew with a large print, at roughly three percent of a retail equivalent. Judged on that basis, the fabric and the print both outperform the price.
What stays unverified
- Sleeve construction. The listing's own spec sheet describes a raglan sleeve, while the description and gallery point to a standard set-in short sleeve. Check the photograph for your variant.
- Weight. 250 g comes from the listing, not from our scale verification.
- Print longevity. Sharp on arrival, unproven across a season of washes.
- After-sales support. No documented policy from this listing, and the only defect report in our evidence relates to retail, not this seller.
- Shrinkage. The tolerance range of 1–3 cm is stated by the seller; we cannot separate manufacturing variance from post-wash movement after one cycle.
How we scored it
We rate this Casablanca graphic print tee 4.3 / 5. On our five-point scale, 5 is excellent and 3 is adequate. The fabric weight, the print quality and the price earn the score; the numbered variant list, the contradictory sleeve spec and the split fit reports are what keep it off the top mark. It is a good shirt wrapped in a listing that requires a careful read.
